Police said Wednesday they want a reality TV contestant on the death of a former swimsuit model found dead in a trash bin after a stormy relationship with man.
Police say Ryan Jenkins may be heading to his native Canada after the presentation of the model, 28-year-old Jasmine Fiore, disappeared on Saturday night in Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Jenkins, 32, appeared on the reality TV show “Megan wants a millionaire.”
Lisa Lepore Fiore said his daughter married Jenkins in Las Vegas in March, but had annulled the marriage in May. However, Jenkins said convinced her daughter to take him back.
Fiore’s naked body was found stuffed in a suitcase in a trash bin Buena Park on Saturday. Officials say they may have been strangled.
Fiore, Los Angeles, was last seen alive at Jenkins with a poker game in San Diego.
“At this point, is simply a person of interest, simply because of the distrust of his disappearance. We can not find it,” said Lt. Gary Worral.
“It seems suspicious that all the media that has not made himself available to us,” he said.
Jenkins, various described as an architect, developer and real estate investment banking Calgary, appeared in three episodes of the VH1 reality series “Megan wants a Millionaire,” about a woman seeking to land a rich bachelor suitors putting through their steps, such as designing a marketing campaign for your Chihuahua.
In the show, Jenkins was identified as an investment banker with a couple of million dollars in the bank.
Lepore said his daughter as a model for about two years, but had left the company. Jenkins said he had his sights set on Hollywood.
“There were stars in their eyes,” he said. “It was totally jazz, like, being a star.”
