Charlize Theron, Tom Hardy hit “Fury Road”
Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy are in negotiations to star in “Fury Road”, the delivery of this century the “series Mad Max” film from writer-director George Miller.
Despite his long association with the fourth movie, Mel Gibson is not playing her iconic role Rockatansky Max, the former consisting of police in a future beset by shortages of gas and bands of looters.
That job goes to Hardy, the British actor who stole scenes as handsome Bob “Guy Ritchie, RocknRolla.” ( “RocknRolla” has proved a springboard for Hardy, reserving a role in the birth “Christopher Nolan’s” too. He also appeared in “Bronson”).
Theron is playing the female lead.
Details of history are kept secret, what is known is that the film takes place shortly after the story in detail in 1985 in “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, Mad Max would maintain relatively young.
The filmmakers are eyeing a summer 2010 shoot in Australia. The film will be an Australian production that Warner Bros. will distribute.
“Road” has been in the works for over a decade, with Gibson attached to star in a point.
Theron will appear in this fall’s “The Road”, the big-screen adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s novel.
